Industry Based CNC Training
This course is to initiate the student to the techniques
of CNC Programming. The aim of this course is to provide the student
with a working ability in processing, component and tool location,
clamping, data preparation and part programming, including the use
of subroutines. The course also includes further use of the machine
tool and machining of component.
You will use modern programming software and have
hands on throughout. The content covered week by week will vary
according to the speed and requirements of the class. A certificate
of achievement from Engineers Study Circle can be obtained on the
completion of course.

- Principles of CNC Programming,
- Planning Methods
- Methods of component location / clamping and tool holding,
- Machine feeds and speeds,
- Machine structure and drive systems
- Elements and structures of CNC part programs
- Use of ISO standards
- Use of sub-routines.
- Multi part programming
- Calculations for CNC programming, including geometry and basic
trigonometry.
- Use of CNC machine tool to produce a component considering
system editing facilities, component accuracy, component quality,
in-process measurement, inspection and program proving.
