Punjab Technical University (PTU)

Punjab Technical University (PTU) is one of the most reputed Technical Universities, registered under PTU ACT (PB) of 1997 and is recognized under UGC Act 1956 under section 2(f) by University Grant Commission. All engineering colleges in Punjab are affiliated to PTU and are approved by All India Council of Technical Education. The University is now poised for setting an example in the Distance Education Program to facilitate students all over the World to avail quality education through its study centers. Various streams like Fashion Technology, Hotel Management, Textile Designing, Business, Media & Arts, Paramedical & Applied Technology and Information Technology etc are being covered under the distance education program of PTU.

Keeping in view the global and national demand in mind more advance courses like Bio-Informatics and Bio-Technology were designed and launched across the country.

PTU has also established its first state of the art Advance Training Center at Ladowali Road, Jalandhar, to impart advance training to the faculty of the study centres.To further extend its reach in terms of offering quality higher education, the University has launched its online virtual campus, which will be an advanced platform for the prospective students for various courses.

PTU will adapt the latest technologies and trends in the counseling techniques, teaching methodology, placement and counseling and the complete education delivery system. In a short span of time PTU has build a name for it self in the distance education industry and will be the largest player in the country in times to come.

The University has set norms for approving the Authorization criteria for study centers. The prospectus and application form will be provided by the University on cost basis and will provide the course material for all the courses. The study material will be provided to the students through the Study Centers, cost of which is included in the fee.

Global Soft Bioinfo, Bangalore, is appointed as its Learning Centre by PTU, in the state of Karnataka.
